Adult Acting Intensive and Theatre Games is a Professional Level Acting Technique taught by Lynn Winters. This unique class offers the adult actor an acting technique based on the Holistic Human as a template. Each class will begin by warming up with Theatre Games, just for FUN and FREEDOM. The class will move into individual monologue work and eventually scenes, followed by a Winters Acting Technique Lesson. We will be examining our design through the Spiritual, Emotional, Intellectual and Physical aspect of the human being, to build a Holistic understanding and create a more 4 dimensional, living character experience.
This progressive program is designed to offer the Ithaca theatre community a chance to elevate the individual Performing Artists and transition into professional theatre experiences. This opportunity will provide the next step for the performer in local theatre groups, while also giving the performing artist with a degree in theatre a place to advance their base. The technique will provide a reliable and solid resource of skills along with an open perspective that enhances any prior training. The class also offers a new actor the platform needed to join the world of Performing Arts.
